21. 11. 2024
We are so proud that our director Dr. Jernej Pintar opened EUSALP’s panel on circular economy: ''Could Alpine region become a circular economy model region?'' that was held within the 9th EUSALP’s Annual Forum organised by the Slovenian Presidency of the EUSALP macroregion.
In the introduction speech dr. Jernej Pintar highlighted that with its unique natural, historic and economic potentials, the Alpine region could lead in sustainable transformation by:
- Becoming more technology savvy,
- becoming more united as the Alpine region, and
- the creation of a CIRCULAR ALP HUB to promote frontrunners and good practices in circular economy of the Alpine region, across macroregions and globally.
Additionally, he highlighted that two transformative projects like BAUHALPS and RECENTRE both co-financed by the Alpine Space programme have a potential to push this transformation to the circular economy of the Alpine region even more intensively.
The BAUHALPS project is supporting the building sector to transform to circular economy within the Alpine Space according to the principles of the New European Bauhaus, while RECENTRE project aims to revolutionize the manufacturing sector in the Alpine region with tools for Industry 5.0 and the enhancement of the workforce resilience.
With an attention to set-up the CIRCULAR ALP HUB within the Slovenian presidency of the EUSALP 2024 the Technology Park Ljubljana as a coordinator of the EUSALP cross-cutting priority 4 on circular economy under the leadership of the EUSALP’s Action Group 2 is kindly asking you and/or your organisation to sign a non-binding the Letter of Intent HERE to support the establishment of the CIRCULAR ALP HUB.
