Our Journey

  • 1994: The „technology park idea“ starts as a 2-year pilot project.
  • 1995: The company Tehnološki park Ljubljana d.o.o. is incorporated
  • 1996: The park begins operations with 9 member companies.
  • 1999: An internal credit fund for the members is established.
  • 2001: The Park gains its first European project.
  • 2003: The Municipality of Ljubljana enters the ownership structure.
  • 2005: The infrastructure project of Technology Park at Brdo is approved and the development of the infrastructure at the current main location begins.
  • 2006: Construction works begin on seven modern business buildings aimed for the needs of knowledge-based companies.
  • 2007: Ljubljana Technology Park opens the first four buildings at Brdo location.
  • 2009: Ljubljana Technology Park merges with the Centre for the Development of Small Industry and is fortified both in terms of staff and its operations.
  • 2010: The company develops the concept of continued development of infrastructure at Brdo.
  • 2010: The Director of the Ljubljana Technology Park takes the helm of the European Section of the World Association of Science Parks for the next two years.
  • 2011: Commencement of a strategic partnership with Tovarna podjemov. Establishment of the Start-up Center and the design of Go: Global Slovenia.
  • 2012: Establishment of the Start: up Slovenia initiative - a partnership for a globally competitive national startup ecosystem.
