ERASMUS + : PROTOCOLS - Innovate vocational education and training (VET) in the context of Restorative Neurology (RN) for health professionals and professional VET trainers

A project for the renewal of vocational education and training (VET) in restorative neurology (RN) has been launched with the aim of supporting healthcare professionals and VET trainers. It focuses on ensuring equal access to training within the European Qualifications Framework and introduces innovative teaching methods.

Key topics include the development of an innovative VET curriculum, certification processes and the use of ICT and new technologies in the healthcare sector. The project will also develop a new professional profile that includes skills such as remote communication, pilot training in RN, wearable technologies for rehabilitation and the digitalization of healthcare.

Key outputs include the creation of a common European VET system for new skills and qualifications for nurses, the development of scalable tools for VET and the creation of content and tools for distance education. The project will also revise and translate RISE project materials, develop new protocols for the evaluation of medical technologies and establish an online platform for data sharing and dissemination of results.

The project promises to have a significant impact by providing free access to high-quality VET materials, advancing research in RN and wearable technologies, innovating medical care for patients with spinal cord injuries and mobility impairments, and creating new tools to modernise VET teaching.

In addition to the Ljubljana Technology Park, other partners will also be involved in the project:

  • ORAS Ospedale Riabilitativo di Alta Specializzazione from Italy
  • SWORD Health SA from Portugal
  • FLR Fondazione Lepido Rocco from Italy
  • FHNP Fundacion Hospital Nacional de Parapljeicos from Spain
