Introduction
Technology Park Ljubljana and the City of Ljubljana are organising an expansion of the spatial and service capacities through the project of constructing a support business centre at Brdo-Ljubljana. We will build an environment competitive on the European scale, with adequate infrastructure, enhanced with services for promoting the creation of new and the growth of existing knowledge-based enterprises.The Technology Park Ljubljana Brdo will be built in two phases, each planned in several stages.
I. PHASE 1 (VP 3/2 northern section)
This will be aimed primarily at members of Technology Park Ljubljana and other domestic and foreign companies in the area of information and communications technology, telecommunications, biotechnology, nanotechnology, automation in industry and related activities. It will comprise 100,000 m2 of total floor area in 23 buildings.
In the first stage, on which construction began in April 2006, the first 7 commercial buildings will be constructed, covering 34,122 m2 of total floor area and 27,340 m2 of total basement area, plus 798 parking spaces in basement areas and outside. Enterprises are expected to move in during autumn 2007.
II. PHASE 2 (VP 3/2 southern section)
For the needs of Technology Park Ljubljana, the decision on the building plan for the areas VP 3/2 Brdo and VS 3/3 Brdo – Vrhovci envisages the construction of 47,520 m2 of total surface area.
