Quarad d. o. o. was founded in 2007 to develop and market new Internet technologies. In five years it aims to become a leading company in the field of DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) technologies, i.e. processing of Internet content. The company includes an active development team which is involved with the implementation of a patent application entitled “Method of Detection of Commercial Internet Traffic and System”. The system will provide new sources of revenue for providers of Internet access in Slovenia and around the world. The product solves the problem of Internet access providers who are currently excluded from revenues from the advertising pie.
Internet access providers who invest in the development of network infrastructure are entirely dependent on revenues from monthly subscriptions. On the other hand, their network is increasingly burdened with advertising content from Internet content providers.
The QAD-25 product, which will enter the market in 2008, allows Internet access providers direct and transparent access to the flow of data on data lines with up to 10 Gbs capacity. This allows Internet access providers the possibility of marketing their network using the method of ad insertion, as well as the possibility of other business models. At the same time, they can also remove unauthorised ads from the data flow.
